[color=red][b]宁夏的贺兰山，集中了成千上万的原始岩画，形成了中国北方最大的早期壁画画廊。贺兰山崖画属游牧民族的艺术创作，艺术手法活泼自由，题材有动物、植物、人物和含义不明的抽象画面；对人物的表现最为丰富，有狩猎、舞蹈、交媾、膜拜等等。[/b][/color]

[color=red][b]云南岩画是整个南方系统岩画的重要代表，广泛分布于怒江、澜沧江、红河和金沙江等流域。其中在沧源、麻栗坡等地最为集中。它们的表现技法完全不同于北方，贺兰山和阴山的岩画实际上是岩刻，以可糟的方法雕琢在岩石上，以凹线造型。而云南岩画的特点在于技法上使用涂绘为主，到目前为止，共发现有５０余处。云南岩画的描绘形象更加丰富，形象也更加生动，有戴面具人物、有配尾饰人物、牵牛人物、狩猎人物；动物有牛、猴、蜥蜴、蛙、蛇、象、猪、鸟等；还有太阳、月亮、云霞、星辰等；穴居、房屋、道路也在表现范围之内。[/b][/color]
